What your AI can do
Request a bounded mobile or desktop audit for performance, SEO, accessibility or best practices using your project's API quota. This list comes straight from the running product: 1 read tool and 0 write tools.
Answer straight away. Nothing changes.
Read-only by design.
The PageSpeed Insights connection has no write tools, so your AI can read and report but can't change anything in PageSpeed Insights.
Only paths on the enabled public HTTPS origin are accepted. Google controls its audit browser; reports redirected outside that public origin are rejected. Lab measurements vary between runs.
Plus encrypted credentials, access limited to the accounts you switch on, and the flight recorder on every connection.

Example prompts
Paste any of these into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor once PageSpeed Insights is connected.
“Run a mobile performance audit of this page.”
“Check this public page's accessibility category.”
“Run a desktop SEO audit of our pricing page.”
“What's slowing down our homepage on mobile?”
“Check best practices for the checkout page.”
“Compare mobile performance for the homepage and the pricing page.”
“List the top three opportunities to improve LCP.”
“Is real-user field data available for this page?”
Setup
About two minutes for Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Nothing to install.
Start a free workspace and open Connections. Use a dedicated PageSpeed API key restricted to that API, with explicit request-quota consent. Saving the public site checks DNS but does not run an audit.
Every app uses the same server URL.
https://megamcp.com/api/mcpTry “Run a mobile performance audit of this page.” Reports answer straight away. Anything that changes PageSpeed Insights comes back as a plan for you to approve.
Safety
The PageSpeed Insights connection reads and reports. It can't change a thing.
The PageSpeed Insights connection has no write tools. Your AI can read and report, and nothing in PageSpeed Insights can change.
Every plan lists each change with its before and after values, so you see exactly what will move before it does.
Your AI sees only the PageSpeed Insights accounts you enable, and members limited to certain clients only see those clients. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
Platform checks stop stale edits, and the flight recorder logs every tool call, plan and approval, with who did it and from which AI app.

FAQ
Not that we could find. As of October 2026, Google does not publish a PageSpeed Insights MCP server; community projects exist. MegaMCP runs PageSpeed audits with your own API key, next to Search Console and your website tools.
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use PageSpeed Insights through tools. MegaMCP's hosted PageSpeed Insights MCP server gives your assistant 1 read tool for Lighthouse scores, audit findings and field data.
Yes. MegaMCP is a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in, so one URL works in ChatGPT (as an app, with developer mode on), Claude (as a custom connector), Cursor, Claude Code and VS Code. Your AI app's own plan decides whether it can add custom MCP servers.
No. MegaMCP's PageSpeed Insights connection is read-only: it has no write tools, so your AI can report and analyze but can't change anything in PageSpeed Insights. Only paths on the enabled public HTTPS origin are accepted. Google controls its audit browser; reports redirected outside that public origin are rejected. Lab measurements vary between runs.
Use a dedicated PageSpeed API key restricted to that API, with explicit request-quota consent. Saving the public site checks DNS but does not run an audit.
Reading PageSpeed Insights is free on MegaMCP's Free plan (100 reads a day, no card). Paid plans, from $19/month after a 5-day free trial, remove the daily limit, with unlimited runs and no credits. MegaMCP adds no markup: any subscription or API usage with the vendor stays between you and them.
Your PageSpeed Insights credentials are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and bound to their connection, and MegaMCP never trains AI models on your data. Your AI only sees the accounts you switch on, members limited to certain clients only see those clients, and every tool call lands in the flight recorder.
5 days. On the house.
No credit card to start. Every workspace comes with a sandbox ad account, so you can watch the whole ask, diff, approve, undo loop before you connect anything real.
