What a budget bumper is

A per-account spend cap that the change engine enforces on every plan. Two limits, both optional:

• Max daily budget per campaign. No plan can set a daily budget above this number (in the account's currency).
• Max increase per change. A percentage. For example, 20 blocks any single change that raises a budget by more than 20%.

Enabling a paused campaign counts as raising its budget from zero, so it answers to the caps too.

When they're checked

Twice: when a plan is proposed, and again right before it's applied, in case a cap changed in between. A plan that breaks a cap is marked blocked. Blocked plans can't be applied by anyone. Propose a smaller change, or have an admin raise the cap.

Set them up

1. In the dashboard, open Guardrails. You'll see every enabled ad account.
2. Enter a max daily budget, a max increase percentage, or both. Leave a field blank for no limit.
3. Click Save caps. The change lands in the flight recorder with your name on it.

Only admins and owners can change caps. Everyone can see them, and your AI can read them with megamcp_whoami.

The other guardrails

• Approvals. Nothing changes without a human. How approvals work.
• Roles. Viewers can't propose or approve anything.
• Accounts start switched off. After you connect Google or Meta, your AI only sees the accounts you switch on.
• Safe defaults in the tools. New Google Ads campaigns and new Meta ads are created paused. Tag Manager publishing is its own plan.
• Undo for anything that slips through.
