Connect Claude Code

Before you start

• A MegaMCP account. Start a free trial if you don't have one; it takes a minute.
• The MegaMCP server URL:

  https://megamcp.com/api/mcp

Set up Claude Code

1. Run this in your terminal:

   claude mcp add --transport http megamcp https://megamcp.com/api/mcp

   Add --scope user to make it available in every project, or --scope project to share it with your repo in .mcp.json.
2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp. Pick megamcp and choose to authenticate.
3. Sign in to MegaMCP in the browser, pick your workspace, and approve access.
4. Ask away. Claude Code asks before each tool call unless you allow it.

Try it on the sandbox

Every workspace comes with a sandbox ad account, Acme Plumbing (demo). It uses fake money and behaves like the real thing. Ask:

• “Which demo campaigns wasted the most money last month?”
• “Show me search terms in the demo account that spent money without converting.”
• “Add those junk search terms as negatives in the demo account.”
• “Pause the Water Heater Install campaign in the demo account.”

Reads answer straight away. Writes come back as a plan with a diff. Approve it on the Changes page of your dashboard (or in chat, if an admin turned that on), then undo it for fun. How approvals work.

Approving changes from Claude Code

When your AI proposes a change, MegaMCP returns the diff and a review link. By default you approve it on the Changes page of your dashboard. If an admin turns on Approve in chat under Settings, the AI must show you the diff and wait for a clear yes before it calls megamcp_apply_change, and only for plans that same connection proposed. Claude Code may also ask you to confirm the tool call itself. That's fine: two locks are better than one.
