MCP config generator
Pick your AI client to get the exact config file entry or steps to add a remote MCP server. Claude and ChatGPT add servers as connectors in their settings; Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf use a JSON file; Claude Code uses one terminal command. Each one below is filled in with MegaMCP's server URL and signs in with OAuth, so there are no API keys to paste.
- Free, no signup
- OAuth sign-in, no API keys

One URL, every AI client
MegaMCP is a remote MCP server at https://megamcp.com/api/mcp. It speaks Streamable HTTP and signs you in with OAuth, so every client needs the same two things: the URL, and one browser sign-in. What differs is where each client keeps its list of servers:
| Client | Where MCP servers are configured |
|---|---|
| Claude (desktop and web) | Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector |
| ChatGPT | Settings → Security and login → Developer mode, then apps (connectors) → + |
| Claude Code | claude mcp add --transport http, or .mcp.json in a project |
| Cursor | ~/.cursor/mcp.json or .cursor/mcp.json |
| VS Code | .vscode/mcp.json or MCP: Add Server |
| Windsurf | ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json |
Try it without connecting real accounts
Every MegaMCP workspace comes with a sandbox ad account. Connect your AI client, then ask it which demo campaigns wasted the most money last month, or to add the junk search terms as negatives. Writes come back as a plan you approve, and you can undo them.
FAQ
MCP config generator questions
What are Claude connectors?
Claude connectors let Claude use tools and data outside the chat. A custom connector is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server you add by URL under Customize → Connectors in Claude on the web or desktop. You sign in once, and Claude can call that server's tools in any chat where you switch it on.
What are ChatGPT connectors?
ChatGPT connectors, now called apps, connect ChatGPT to outside tools. With developer mode on, you can add any remote MCP server by URL with OAuth sign-in, and ChatGPT can call its tools in chats. Developer mode is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.
What is an MCP config?
An MCP config tells an AI client which Model Context Protocol servers to connect to. Remote servers need only a name and a URL; local servers need a command to start. Claude and ChatGPT use a settings screen instead of a file, while Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Claude Code use a JSON file or a command.
Do I need an API key in the config?
Not for MegaMCP. It uses OAuth 2.1: the config holds only the URL, and you sign in in the browser the first time. The client stores the token itself, so nothing secret ends up in a file you might commit.
Can I use this generator for other MCP servers?
The formats are the same for any remote MCP server that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth: swap in its URL and name. Servers that use API keys or run locally need extra headers or a command, which varies by server.
What can my AI do once MegaMCP is connected?
Read and report on Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, GA4, Search Console, WordPress, HubSpot and more, and propose changes that a person approves in MegaMCP before anything is applied. Every change is shown as a diff and supported changes can be undone.
Stop checking by hand
MegaMCP runs these checks automatically for every client, every week.
Connect your sites and ad accounts once. MegaMCP audits them on a schedule, reports what changed, and proposes fixes you approve before anything is touched. Every change is previewed as a diff and can be undone.
No credit card to start. Every workspace includes a sandbox ad account to try it on.
