The best MCP servers for marketers

An honest shortlist of MCP servers for marketing: official Google Ads, GA4 and HubSpot servers, multi-platform options like MegaMCP, Markifact and Optmyzr, automation hubs, and how to choose.

The short answer

There is no single best MCP server for marketers; the right one depends on whether you need reads or writes, one platform or many, and a hosted login or a self-hosted install. Official servers from Google and HubSpot are great free starting points for one platform. If you want several platforms behind one sign-in with approvals before changes, a hosted multi-platform server such as MegaMCP, Markifact or Optmyzr's MCP fits better.

How we judged them

We build one of the servers on this list, so take our placement with salt. To keep it useful, every entry is described by what its own documentation says, checked in October 2026, and we say where others beat us. The criteria that matter for marketing work:

CriterionWhy it matters
Hosted or self-hostedHosted servers need no install and work for a whole team; self-hosted ones give you full control but need a developer and your own API credentials.
Reads only, or writes tooRead-only is safe and enough for reporting. Writes save real time but need guardrails.
What happens before a writeLook for a preview of the exact change, a human approval and an undo. A confirmation dialog alone is thin protection.
Platforms coveredOne server per platform means one login and one tool list per platform. Many servers in one chat can confuse the model.
Sign-in modelPer-person OAuth beats shared API keys in a config file, for both security and the audit trail.
Pricing modelFree, flat subscription or usage credits. Credits make heavy analysis expensive to predict.

Official single-platform servers

Google Ads API MCP server (Google)

Google's Ads API team publishes an open-source MCP server, documented on the Google Ads developer site. It is read-only by design: it lists the accounts your credentials can reach and runs Google Ads Query Language (GAQL) queries. You run it yourself (it is a Python project) and need your own Google Ads developer token and Google Cloud project.

Best for: analysts and developers who want free, official, read-only access to one Google Ads setup and are comfortable writing or reviewing GAQL. Not for: teams who want changes, or who don't want to manage developer tokens.

Google Analytics MCP server (Google)

Google also publishes an experimental, open-source GA4 server that uses the Admin and Data APIs. It runs locally with your Google credentials and is read-only. Watch for similarly named community projects; the official one lives in Google Analytics' own GitHub organization.

Best for: free, local, read-only GA4 questions for one person. See connecting GA4 to Claude or ChatGPT for the trade-offs.

HubSpot remote MCP server (HubSpot)

HubSpot hosts an official remote server for CRM data that reads and writes records such as contacts, companies, deals and tickets, with OAuth sign-in. HubSpot's own AI connectors are built on it, and HubSpot announced it as generally available.

Best for: CRM work inside one HubSpot portal. If you want HubSpot deals tied to ad spend, you need a server that sees both (see below).

SEO data providers

Several SEO data companies, including Semrush and Ahrefs, offer MCP access to their keyword, backlink and domain data, usually tied to your subscription and its API units. Best for: research questions inside the tool you already pay for.

Multi-platform marketing servers

These connect one AI app to many marketing platforms behind a single login, which is what most agencies and in-house teams actually need.

MegaMCP

A hosted MCP server for ads, analytics, SEO, websites, CRM and commerce, built around one rule: reads run instantly, every write becomes a plan a person approves, with per-account spend caps the AI can't change and undo for supported operations. It includes an Agency mode with client portfolio pacing, one-approval budget rebalancing and white-label client report links. Pricing is flat: Free (read-only, 100 reads a day), Solo $19/mo, Crew $149/mo with 10 seats, no credits. Honest caveat: Google, Meta, Microsoft and several other ad-platform connections are Rolling out while those platforms approve our app; WordPress, HubSpot, Shopify, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, the SEO tools and the sandbox work today. See every integration.

Markifact

Markifact connects AI to marketing platforms through MCP and adds a visual workflow builder, a hosted agent and in-chat approvals. Its pricing page advertises 50+ platforms and 1,000+ operations, on credit-based plans. Where it beats us today: catalog breadth and templates. We compare the two in detail on MegaMCP vs Markifact.

Optmyzr (Sidekick MCP)

Optmyzr is a long-established PPC management suite. It offers an MCP endpoint that connects Claude to your Optmyzr account through its Sidekick assistant, so you can run the analysis, reporting and Rule Engine work you'd normally do in the Optmyzr interface. Best for: teams already on Optmyzr who want its PPC depth in chat. See MegaMCP vs Optmyzr.

Status labels come straight from MegaMCP's integration catalog: Live connects today; Rolling out means the tools are built and connections switch on as each platform approves the app.

Automation hubs and community servers

Automation platforms such as Zapier expose their app integrations to AI clients over MCP. They cover thousands of apps, which is unbeatable for breadth, but actions tend to be generic (create a row, send a message) rather than marketing-aware (find wasted spend, pace a budget).

Community servers on GitHub exist for almost every platform: Meta Ads, Search Console, GA4, LinkedIn and more. Some are excellent. Before you connect one to an account that spends money, check: is it maintained, how does it authenticate, does it store your tokens, can it write, and is there any preview or approval before a write?

Tip. Running several single-platform servers in one chat works, but every server adds its tool list to the model's context. Past a few servers, models pick the wrong tool more often. One server that covers your core stack usually behaves better.

How to choose in five minutes

  1. Reporting only, one platform, you're technical? Start with the official read-only server for that platform.
  2. Reporting across several platforms, no install? Use a hosted multi-platform server. MegaMCP's Free plan covers read-only reporting.
  3. You want the AI to make changes? Insist on previews, human approval, spend caps and undo. Test on a sandbox before a real account.
  4. You're an agency? Check for client grouping, per-client scoping and client-ready reports, not just more connectors. Our white-label reporting guide covers what to look for.
  5. You live in one PPC suite already? Its own MCP (like Optmyzr's) may be the shortest path.

Whatever you pick, generate the client config with the MCP config generator rather than hand-editing JSON, and keep API keys out of shared files.

FAQ

What is the best MCP server for Google Ads?

For free, read-only access with your own developer token, Google's official Google Ads API MCP server. For a hosted login that also proposes changes with approvals, spend caps and undo, a multi-platform server such as MegaMCP or Markifact.

Are MCP servers safe to connect to ad accounts?

Read-only servers are low-risk. For servers that can write, look for a preview of the exact change, a human approval before it applies, server-enforced spend caps, undo and an audit trail.

Can I use several MCP servers at once?

Yes. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code all support several servers. Each adds tools to the model's context, so a handful works better than a dozen.

Do MCP servers work in both Claude and ChatGPT?

Remote MCP servers do: Claude calls them connectors and ChatGPT calls them apps. Local servers that run on your computer work with desktop and developer apps that support them.
